1. Data We Collect
Account info: name, phone number, date of birth, gender, profile photo, bio, and interests
Usage data: Vibes posted, Vibes joined, connections made, messages sent
Location: approximate location when browsing nearby Vibes (only with your permission)
Device info: device type, OS version, app version
Advertising identifier: your device's advertising ID, collected only if you grant tracking permission, used to measure ad performance
Biometric verification data: if you choose to complete identity verification, a live facial scan captured during that process. This scan is used only to confirm you match your profile photo and is never stored — it is deleted immediately after verification completes.
2. How We Use Your Data
To provide and improve the IRL Vibes platform
To match you with relevant Vibes and people nearby, based on your interests
To keep the platform safe (fraud detection, moderation, blocking and reporting)
To send you notifications about messages, join requests, and new followers (only with your consent)
To verify your identity, if you choose to complete identity verification
To measure the performance of our advertising campaigns (only if you grant tracking permission)
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data with:
Other users: your profile info (name, photo, bio, interests) is visible to others per your visibility settings; your first name and photo are shared with a host when you join their Vibe
Service providers: analytics and infrastructure providers, under strict data agreements
Identity verification: if you choose to verify your profile, your live facial scan is processed by Amazon Web Services (AWS) Rekognition solely to confirm your identity. The scan is not stored by us or by AWS, and is not shared with other users or any third party.
Advertising partners: if you grant tracking permission, we share your device's advertising identifier with Meta (Facebook/Instagram) to measure ad performance
4. Data Retention
We retain your data as long as your account is active. You can deactivate your account at any time (reversible), or request deletion, which is processed after a 30-day grace period. Contact support@irlvibes.in to request deletion. Biometric verification scans are never retained — they exist only in memory during the verification process and are deleted immediately afterward, regardless of your account status.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@irlvibes.in.

We use minimal cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences.

We use industry-standard encryption and security practices to protect your data.
